Day 60 - Happy Leap Day!!!!

I like how every picture for leap day year thingy is of a frog.
Today happens to be that extra day of the year that comes around every 4 years. I've always wondered why we have a extra day every four years so I googled it and according to Wikipedia: A leap year (or intercalary or bissextile year) is a year containing one additional day (or, in the case of lunisolar calendars, a month) in order to keep the calendar year synchronized with the astronomical or seasonal year. Because seasons and astronomical events do not repeat in a whole number of days, a calendar that had the same number of days in each year would, over time, drift with respect to the event it was supposed to track. By occasionally inserting (or intercalating) an additional day or month into the year, the drift can be corrected. A year that is not a leap year is called a common year. So...ummm...I'm not totally sure what all that mean but...ummm...I think we have an extra day every four years so that the world doesn't explode. Also I was wondering what would you do if your birthday was on leap day? I think I would celebrate my birthday on the 28th of February because it's sooner but I really don't know what I would do...I would be kind of sad if my birthday only came around every four year.
Quote of the Day: Happy leap day! Too bad this 'extra day' falls on a Wednesday. If you are anything like me you are working hard like always.
